Murderous hellbeasts, now with armour
Warhorse Studios has released the latest update video to its crowdfunded medieval RPG Kingdom Come: Deliverance.
The bulk of the video is spent with Kuba Holik, the lead 3D artist working the game, to show the work he has been doing on the environment in the game. It’s interesting to me, but for backers the first few minutes of the video are the most important, as they explain the latest additions to the game.
It is confirmed the playable area shown at E3 will be three or four times bigger than the current alpha available to backers, with camps, villages and forests all being added.
Combat will also be shown at E3. Only one-on-one fights will be shown at first, with bigger battles being added later on during development.
Swooshy armour for the horses has also been added to the game. It might well look adorable now, but horses are the spawn of Satan himself and with a sheet of chainmail now added, I’m going to stay far away from them. God I hate horses.
New quests, voice acting, lip-syncing, and player stats are all also shown in the video. The game is shaping up to be something pretty special, so I’m looking forward to seeing more of it at E3.
