And into a new Switch game in 2018
Although F-Zero and a few other storied Nintendo series can’t catch a break, Kirby is always there. Whether it’s a console iteration or a portable jaunt you can always count on the fluff ball to appear, and Nintendo always supports him with plenty of merchandise, as well as events in Japan like pop-up cafes. He’s one of the most well-loved properties in their arsenal.
That’s backed up by this “Anniversary Trailer,” which brings us through the ages as Nintendo celebrates two and a half decades of fluff. Bringing us from the Game Boy into the newest era, Nintendo reminds us of his humble history as a “game for everyone,” into more complex puzzle and sports games.
Oh, and there’s another Kirby coming in 2018 on Switch (which looks great, if familiar so far).
