Gust is at it again
Gust’s Ar nosurge Plus: Ode to an Unborn Star is on its way to PlayStation Vita this July.
The role-playing game originally debuted on PlayStation 3 late last year, but as anyone familiar with the developer might expect, an enhanced portable release isn’t far behind.
Gust is best known for its Atelier series, which has seen a number of entries make the leap from PS3 to Vita in recent years. As with those games, Ar nosurge Plus has a few upgrades to sweeten the pot, like added costumes, pre-loaded content that was DLC in the previous version, and various other minor alternations.
Much like Atelier, this title places a heavy emphasis on crafting, but it’s actually more sci-fi than fantasy. Set in the same universe as Ar Tonelico and Ciel Nosurge, it tells the story of a two adventurers whose civilization has spent the past two millennia adrift in space.
That isn’t to say Ar nosurge is totally without mystical elements, though, as your character’s have magic attacks that are powered by song and music. Sounds like a hoot!
Koei Tecmo will only be distributing the game digitally via PSN, but the publisher has partnered with NIS America to put out a very limited collectors edition, which you can order right here.
You can expect to see it in Europe on July 1 and North America the very next day.
