Old scores finally being settled
A new advertisement for Injustice: Gods Among Us is starting into circulation and they’re heading right for the comic fans by bringing in one of the more famous enthusiasts of (and contributors to) the medium, Kevin Smith. In it, he and Jason Mewes reflect on a lifetime of arguing over which comic characters would win in fights with one another and opt to determine the truth by pitting them against each other using the game.
Celebrity endorsements of games can go wrong so easily, and it’s often that I watch them and feel less like this is a person who appreciates and enjoys the product than someone who likes being paid to say they do. In the case of Smith (and his buddy Mewes), it’s a perfect pairing of personality and product. It made me smile.
