LEGO’s answer to Skylanders or amiibo

The first images and details regarding LEGO’s “toys that work with your video games experience” leaked this morning on reddit ahead of the official reveal. Welcome to the starter pack for LEGO Dimensions.
The starter pack for the game is set to come with figures for Batman, Gandalf, and Wyldstyle that each add characters into the game. The leak also states that the starter pack comes with a LEGO pad, a LEGO Batmobile, and bricks to build your own LEGO gateway.

When a mysterious and powerful vortex suddenly appears in various LEGO worlds, different characters from DC Comics, Lord of the Rings and the LEGO Movie are swept away. To save their friends, Batman, Gandalf, and Wyldstyle bravely jump into the vortex to rescue their friends and fight to save all of LEGO humanity.
