The world of tomorrow, yesterday
While the gaming world is still coming to grips with the potential of the PlayStation 4, at least one sci-fi acting legend was facepalming so hard at how behind the times everyone else was. From this early 80s footage that IGN somehow was able to recover, Leonard Nimoy takes Sony’s new (old?) hardware through its paces while a glowing, sentient rock explains to him all the features.
Of course, he acts like it’s no big deal. Because he’s Leonard Nimoy. He sang a song about Bilbo f*ckin’ Baggins. Why wouldn’t he have insider knowledge on Sony’s console plans over three decades prior?
Also, this video offers our first look at the final PS4 hardware design — it looks exactly like that record player your parents used to own.
