Now PC players can finish the trilogy
The Final Fantasy XIII series has long been over for console players. Lightning Returns originally released back in 2013, and since then the fanbase’s attention has been split between Final Fantasy XIV, Final Fantasy XV, and sometimes even the likes of Type-0 HD.
For PC players, it’s been a different story: Final Fantasy XIII and XIII-2 have been on PC for a while now, but Lightning Returns hasn’t yet seen the light of day on the platform. Well, now things are changing, as Square Enix has confirmed it will be getting a Steam release on December 10 for £12.99.
The release will include almost all of the DLC, which is mainly extra weapons and costumes as opposed to the story-based DLC of XIII-2. However, for some reason the DLC based on FFVII’s Aerith won’t be available, and Square have been very firm in telling us it will not be available at any time ever. Weird.
For those who played it, how did you feel about the Final Fantasy XIII arc in general? I’ve seen incredibly polarised responses to it.
