Old-school dungeon-crawling delight
[Mash Tactics airs Monday through Friday at 4p.m. Pacific on Dtoid.TV. Watch Rick ‘King Foom’ Olson play a variety of games, each day with its own theme. With a heavy focus on community and viewer interaction, you can be as much a part of the show as anything else.]
Having grown up on games like Wizardry, Might & Magic, Eye of the Beholder, and other great dungeon-crawlers of old, you could imagine my excitement when found out there was actually a new Might & Magic title coming out. However, upon searching for the game a while back, I was saddened to find out that it was only in the early access stages, and pledged to avoid it until it was ready for a full-fledged release. Well, that time has come, and tonight on Mash Tactics, I finally get to sink deep into the world of Might & Magic X: Legacy.
While games like this might not be everyone’s cup of tea, if you enjoyed old-school dungeon crawlers such as those mentioned above, or, if you liked what games such as Legend of Grimrock have more recently brought to the table, do yourself a favor and check out tonight’s show. I’ve only gotten to scratch the surface of the game so far, but already it has my nostalgia levels at an extreme high. I can’t wait to lose myself in deep dark dungeons, seeking out loot, and battling all sorts of beasties for hours on end. Be sure to join me on the beginning of my epic adventure tonight at Dtoid.TV!
