I hope a lot of those updates are free
One day many years ago, I went into Starbucks with a friend. The barista inquired as to whether or not he’d want to try a new bakery item they had just concocted, to which he awkwardly replied, “not unless it’s FREE!” It wasn’t free. I’m sure that’s how a lot of you out there value planned updates and expansions (otherwise known as add-ons or DLC).
Well, you better get ready for some of that DLC for Hyrule Warriors, as an official tweet stated this week, “[Here’s some] new information to commemorate the release. Hyrule Warriors is a festive Zelda title that was made with much effort. In order to have you folks enjoy it for longer, we’re currently planning long-term updates and a large-scale mode expansion. We’ve received a few bug reports, so we’ll be working on that as well.”
A large-scale expansion? That sounds interesting — new Zelda games could be added to the mix. No price points were given, but obviously an ideal situation would be free updates mixed in with a meaty paid expansion down the line.
