Luigi's Mansion 2 Dark Moon HD Old Clockworks Gem

Old Clockworks, the third in the tour of mansions in Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD, is more of a factory. Less resident evil and more industrial. However, it still hides thirteen gems (in this case, rubies). Here’s how to find all of them.

While you’re still outside the Old Clockworks, there’s a set of train tracks in front of the factory. If you follow these to the right, all the way to the end, you’ll find a dead-end. Shine your dark light on it to reveal a hidden crate. Inside it is your first gem.

Warehouse

First available in: C-1
In the warehouse, you’ll find these spools of… ribbon, maybe? There’s a big vice machine where you can set these spools. A bit of ribbon will then hang out the side, which you can suck onto an pull to reveal a prize inside. In the back row of crates (furthest from the camera), shine your dark light. You’ll find a hidden, green spool of ribbon. Slot that one and pull it to find a gem.

Clock Tower Gate

First Available in: C-1
When you step into the Clock Tower Gate, you’ll be on a raised platform. If you turn away from the camera and shine your dark light, a chest will be revealed with this gem.

Canyon Stairs

First available in: C-2
Keep your eyes up when you’re on these stairs and you’ll see a gem caught in a cobweb. Use your vacuum to obtain it.

Clockmaker’s Chambers

First available in: C-3
In the Clockmaker’s Chamber, there’s a rug on the floor. Pull this up and you’ll find a rotor. Spinning this will change the time on the digital clock on the wall. You need to match the time on the clock to the time on the analog alarm clock next to it. This seems to always be 9:00

Roundhouse – Upper

First available in: C-3
You have to cross a set of beams to reach the other side of the roundhouse. However, further town is another set of beams. Cross these and head to the right and around the corner. You’ll find a chest with the gem.

Roundhouse – Lower

First available in: C-3
At the back of the roundhouse, on the left side, there’s a crumbling brick wall. Go behind it, and you’ll find the gem.

Gear Chambers

First available in: C-5
There’s a hole in the wall that you can see a door through at the bottom of the Gear Chambers. To get to it. Go to the front of the room (toward the camera), and climb up on the crates. There’s a gap in the crates, but if you shine your dark light, it will reveal a bridge. Cross this, head back into the wall, and enter the door. As it turns out, it’s a pocket dimension. Collect all the coins and you’ll be rewarded with a gem.

Maintenance Hub

First available in: C-5
While in the maintenance hub, drop down onto the ground floor. In front of the big platform, there are arrows that can be revealed using the dark light. Or you can just point it at the chest their indicating and it will be revealed. The gem is inside.

Service Elevator

First available in: C-5
At the beginning of chapter C-5, you’ll probably notice a gem as it appears in a mirror in the first room. You can’t get to it until the end of the chapter when you have Toad. Suck him into your vacuum, then launch him across to the platform. He’ll grab it and return to you.

Movements

First available in: C-(Boss)
In the Movements room before the boss, there’s a window with sand leaking in. You can see the gem half-buried in there. Suck it up with the vacuum, and you have the last ruby.
