Mafia developer 2K Czech is seeing restructuring, Eurogamer reports. The main Prague office, where it’s assumed Mafia 3 development is housed, is being closed down and its inhabitants moved to an office in Brno.

“Additionally,” read the 2K statement to Eurogamer, “we are transferring some development resources from Prague and Brno to 2K headquarters in Novato, CA.” According to Eurogamer’s original source, that included 10 key developers.

Whether the totality of Mafia 3 development has been moved to the US along with the key staff remains to be seen. What we do know, unfortunately, is that, “As part of this realignment, we are adjusting our staffing levels, resulting in the elimination of some positions.”

Best of luck to those that are losing their jobs.
