Paying tribute
It has been 10 years since we last corrupted on Empire Bay — a city that never sleeps, but its residents sometimes sleep with the fishes. If ratings board rumors pan out, we’ll be racketeering and extorting again later this year.
Ratings for a Mafia II remaster recently popped up on the Taiwan Digital Game Rating Committee site (via Nibellion on Twitter). The application was filed by Take-Two’s branch in Asia. This definitive edition remaster is seemingly coming to PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
In the same vein, there are also listings for a complete edition of Mafia III. Unlike Mafia II which was a last-gen title, Mafia III already launched on current systems. It has also received enhancements on PS4 Pro and Xbox One X. That means it’s less of a remaster and more of an aggregation of the base game bundled with all the add-ons.
If one ratings leak isn’t convincing enough, Mafia II has a second to its name. Gematsu found a South Korean ratings listing for Mafia II: Definitive Edition. All signs seem to indicate that both games will get their new editions sometime later this year.
