Capcom has announced, that by year’s end, both Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and Marvel vs. Capcom 2 will no longer be available on the PSN and XBLA stores.

While no specific date is listed — in the post over at the Capcom Unity blog — for the removal of the full games, the last day DLC will be available to purchase for PSN users is December 17 in North America and December 19 in Europe. Xbox consumers will have a little more time as DLC disappears globally on December 26.

For PlayStation patrons still looking to pick these up, Capcom is currently selling the DLC on PSN for 50 percent off. Any XBLA deals have not been planned at the moment.

Stay tuned for further updates, once Capcom clarifies the dates these two fighting games go away.
