Crash Bandicoot ready for one more round
Insomniac Games’ PS4 release Spider-Man remains the number one game in the UK Charts, making it now three weeks running for New York’s favourite web-slinger, who has already broken records as the fastest selling Marvel game of all-time and the fastest-selling PS4 exclusive in 2018, even conquering the mighty God of War.
Despite reports of poor sales, adventurer Lara Croft was at least able to maintain second place for her recent jungle adventure, Shadow of the Tomb Raider. But the real story here appears to be the gall of Crash Bandicoot: N. Sane Trilogy, which despite holding a monopoly on the charts two Summers running, appears to be making another mad dash for the top spot. Speaking of cutesy mascots, Sega’s Sonic Mania Plus has also squeezed its way back into the Top 10.
Elsewhere in the charts, it was business as usual, as various titles jostled for position within the Top 20. The coming month sees a shocking array of blockbusters on the horizon, including new releases from Call of Duty, Soulcalibur, Forza Horizon and, of course, the mighty Red Dead Redemption. It’s gonna get ugly, brothers and sisters.
