Well, the weather outside is frightful…
The weather outside isn’t particularly frightful, to be honest. It’s just pretty grey, which is essentially British weather 90% of the year. Regardless it’s the big day. The finale of what is, for many, weeks of planning, spending and total chaos. For others,it’s just a bonus day off of work and an extra few hours in bed, or on the couch.
Christmas is upon us once again – obviously, given that it’s happened every single year for millennia – this day means gifts, parties, way too much food and family punch-ups over social politics. Many of you will, however, be having a quiet one, snuggled down with some neat video games, movies or books (just kidding about books, can you imagine?!)
Regardless of what December 25 means to you, whether a religious holiday, a capitalist war-zone, a day filled with fun and food, or just a little bit of breathing space from your regular routine, I hope you have a wonderful one. Be good to those around you. Love yourself and each other. Keep finding the small victories, wherever you are, whoever you’re with and whatever you’re doing. To be fair, that advice also qualifies for the other 364 days of the year.
Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays, from all of us at Destructoid!
