FINALLY! After years of waiting, some true PSOne Classics are coming to the PSN’s PSOne Classics store. The ESRB has done what the ESRB does best and leaked details of five PSX games headed to the PS3’s online service, chief among them being Metal Gear Solid and Resident Evil: Director’s Cut.
Spec Ops: Covert Assault, Spec Ops: Ranger Elite and Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six have also been rated and all look to be hitting the PSN. It would appear as if SCEA is finally getting up off its arse and bringing some serious heavy metal to the PSOne Classics section, which still remains one of my favorite elements of the PS3.
Great news for PlayStation fans. MGS and RE are arguably among the very best the PSX had to offer. Now we just need the Final Fantasy titles and the Oddworld games to seal the deal.
