Scrolls. Remember that game? The same one that is probably more famous for its legal battle with Bethesda than anything having to do with the actual game?
The internet is already on fire due to a new trailer posted by Mojang today, flaming Notch and his company for developing a card game even though we knew this was going to be a card game for a long time, and shaming the game’s “lame graphics,” like Minecraft‘s enjoyment factor was solely based on high definition visuals.
Scrolls will utilize the same “paid beta” model that Minecraft implemented. The closed alpha is rapidly approaching, which contains multiplayer, singleplayer, and a deck builder.
Once that concludes, you can buy the open beta for a reduced price. It’ll be interesting to see if Scrolls can come even close to replicating Minecraft’s success.
