Following the pulling of Killzone 2 adverts in Toronto, it seems that a nearby bus company is jumping on the bandwagon. The York Region Transit line of bus shelters had received a complaint about the “scary” poster, but ignored it until Sony Canada starting pulling them in Toronto. Now the company has sprung into action with quickness and efficiency.
On its own, this story isn’t really news, but the nature of the complaint is just too funny to ignore. A three-year-old boy refused to go to school after seeing the Killzone 2 ad, complete with glaring, red-eyed Helghast mask. According to his father, the boy genuinely thought that a Helghast “monster” would be in the school, waiting to get him.
“He really thought what he saw was going to be inside the complex,” explained Mr. Rennie.
While it’s unfair, wrong and blatantly immature to mock an innocent and naive child, I’m still going to do it. What a stupid idiot, doesn’t he even know that they’re not real? I know that. Such a moronic little dickhead, actually. If I were his father, I’d have hit him in the head and given the little coward something real to be frightened of.
Crybaby.
