MS certification strikes again; Crackdown demo delayed

According to IGN, Microsoft has announced that the co-op demo for the Microsoft published Crackdown has been delayed until sometime before the end of January.

The demo was originally scheduled to hit Xbox Live this Thursday, January 18th. The demo is apparently ready to go, but still undergoing the dreaded and nebulous “certification process” that has plagued everything from game demos to Live Arcade releases since the console’s launch.

What’s baffling is that Microsoft and developer Realtime Worlds announced the date for both the demo and the game nearly one month ago. Why it’s so difficult to get a demo through the Xbox Live pipeline is unknown, but it’s obvious (and has been for quite some time) that someone needs to work on cutting down some of this MS red tape.
