The Uzi could finally make its debut
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0 are gearing up for the upcoming release of Season 3. Alongside the expected content – like a new Battle Pass – several new weapons and game modes are supposedly arriving when the new season drops in a few weeks.
MW2 & Warzone 2.0 Season 3 start date speculation
Activision and Infinity Ward have not yet announced an official MW2 and Warzone 2.0 Season 3 release date. However, like past seasons, we can infer when the new season will begin based on the end date of Season 2. Season 2 is currently scheduled to end on Tuesday, April 11, 2023.
For reference, Season 1 ended on February 15, 2023, and Season 2 began on the same day. In general, major updates for these two Call of Duty games happen on Wednesdays, so there is a decent chance that Season 3 will release on April 12, 2023.
If not, players can hopefully play Season 3 sometime around the middle of April.

All Season 3 leaks & information
No official Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0 Season 3 information has been announced, but leakers have released a few details. Keep in mind these leaks aren’t guaranteed until officially confirmed, but data miners have found intriguing details.
According to reputable data miners like Task Force Leakers 141, players can expect a whopping five weapons coming to both games in Season 3. Of these new weapons, the most notable is the long-awaited debut of the Uzi. This classic SMG weapon could potentially change the game’s meta and be a dominant gun. In addition, the MCX Spear could also be a new gun.
Beyond these weapons, there are quite a few characters potentially debuting in Season 3 according to this leak. Among these is a the season’s star, Valeria, who will likely be the operator focus in the Season 3 Battle Pass.
When it comes to new maps, oddly enough, none have been hinted at by leakers. But each new season so far has introduced at least one new map for MW2. Only time will tell if the new map(s) can live up to the generally positive reception that Himmelmatt Expo received.
Finally, leaks indicate there are some new game modes to look forward to. Warzone 2.0 players will seemingly get the long-awaited Plunder mode, while MW2 players can look forward to possible new game modes like Capture the Flag.
More information will hopefully be revealed about MW2 and Warzone 2.0 Season 3 as we near its likely release in mid-April.
