The fate of free-to-play MMO Mythos has been questionable as of late, but out of seemingly nowhere, Redbana has announced that the PC title is now “reborn.” No, the game wasn’t baptized — it’s been tweaked to be more “engaging” and is making an appearance outside of South Korea.
The game’s site has a little entry box for anyone wanting to get into the closed beta, as well as a short blurb about what’s been changed. Phrases like “reconstructed with a whole new look” and “eliminating its weaknesses” are tossed around. So no, nothing specific.
Unless the core game has been drastically changed for the worse, Torchlight fans will want to pay attention to Mythos‘ happenings. The last I played it, which was a good year or so ago, the game was highly enjoyable. Since free games of this nature tend to lose their flair after a few hours, I was impressed.
