Some familiar faces will be making their Witcher debut
The third season of Netflix’s version of The Witcher is in production. Netflix recently revealed more of The Witcher Season 3 cast, this time focusing on some fresh-but-familiar faces.
Four new cast members have been confirmed for The Witcher Season 3, in roles across the Continent. Robbie Amell (The Flash), Meng’er Zhang (Shang-Chi and the Legend of Ten Rings), Hugh Skinner (Fleabag), and Christelle Elwin (Bloods) join the lineup this season.

Amell will play Gallatin, who leads a Scoia’tael guerrilla army fighting for the side of Nilfgaard. Zhang plays Milva, a human adopted by the dryads of Brokilon Forest with a talent for archery.
Skinner takes up the role of Prince Radovid, the younger brother of King Vizimir. The Witcher game players will remember Radovid well, but here we get to see him in his younger years. And Elwin will play the role of Mistle, a member of a group of misfits who will seemingly get swept up in the story.
Off to Aretuza
We’ve already seen a hint of where the third season of The Witcher is headed. Alongside a production still shared a few weeks ago, Netflix also put out a plot summary for The Witcher Season 3. It sounds like Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri are headed to Aretuza.
Ciri’s powers, and her learning to control them, is still front-and-center. But with some characters like Mistle getting involved, it seems like a lot of book material is in play.
Henry Cavill, who portrays Geralt in the Netflix series, has said he’d like Season 3 to be loyal to the books. We’ll see how that pans out as production continues.
Meanwhile, on the gaming side of The Witcher universe, CD Projekt Red is currently working on the next installment in the saga. It’ll be built on Unreal Engine 5. Those hoping for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be waiting a little while longer, though. The next-gen versions have been indefinitely delayed, as CD Projekt brings development in-house.
