The above clip is the latest from Sony’s almost ethereal safari simulator, Afrika . The video demonstrates the PlayStation 3’s much-lauded Fur Engine 9 alongside the until-recently-theoretical Chimæra Haunch Rendering System.
Once you get past all that technobabble though, you’re left with … something . The video never really tells us what you can expect from the title or how it will play — assuming it is, in fact, something to be played. Honestly, had Sony released an episode of Wild Kingdom from the early 90s with a series of Congoese drum loops set to a rhythm minigame, maybe we could get behind that, but as it stands we’re just scratching our heads at whatever the hell that was.
