Last week, we heard rumor of a new Castlevania on the way for 3DS entitled “Mirror of Fate.” The latest issue of Nintendo Power confirms that rumor, yet it also indirectly confirms that Lords of Shadow 2 is coming along as well.
The full 3DS game’s title is Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate. Similar to how Power of Illusion has ties to Epic Mickey 2, the events of Mirror of Fate will lead to Lords of Shadow 2. LoS2 doesn’t have an announced platform yet, though it will most likely be on PS3 and Xbox 360 again, and quite possibly Wii U, I would assume.
As for Mirror of Fate, it stars Trevor Belmont of Castlevania III fame. He fights with a version of LoS hero Gabriel Belmont’s Combat Cross, and the game is looking to be a 2.5D affair. We’ll deliver more details as they emerge.
