I love the Cooking Mama games for both the DS and the Wii. Sure, they’re casual games that boil down to really simple control gestures, but there’s something about the style and character that I find addictive. Plus, I’m drawn to bitchy/crazy women!
Now my favorite fiery-eyed demon cook makes her way back to the stove in Cooking Mama World Kitchen. This Wii game has a freshly overhauled graphics system, sporting shiny new 3D graphics. Of course, you’ll still use the Wii Remote as your kitchen utensil, choping and frying up a storm. But, now your kitchen mistakes will trigger comedic mini-games. For example, if you flip a burger too high, you can control Mama as she rushes in to save the day by catching it in her apron.
Along with these new mini-games, expect new modes and recipes. They’ve also reworked the gameplay. The press release says that the traditional utensil Wii Remote control has been integrated with “additional rhythm and motion that makes cooking easier and more enjoyable.”
Are you down with Cooking Mama? Are aprons a turn-on for you?
