New Earth Defense Force announced at TGS

EDF! EDF! EDF!

Sony and D3 announced that a new installment in the Earth Defense Force (EDF) franchise will be coming to the PlayStation 4 in spring of 2017. The long-running series has been popular on Dtoid since it started, and I’m looking forward to teaming up and blasting some bugs and spaceships into little piles of goo.

The video showed the expected giant ants, but also featured some new alien spaceships and a giant humanoid enemy, all of which I’m sure will squish real good. There was no mention of a U.S. release, but we’ll let you know if we hear anything.
