The best mobile suit of the Red Comet is here
As we slowly inch closer to its June release date, Famitsu has revealed four more mobile suits that will be included in the upcoming New Gundam Breaker. Unlike the group of mobile suits debuting from Iron-Blooded Orphans back in February, this squad comes from a variety of sources throughout the Gundam franchise. In addition, more reveals managed to slide under the radar, from back when the PC version was announced.
The roster is looking good in regards to customization and representation, that’s for sure. First we have the mobile suits that were overlooked back in March. These are the following:
- Gundam G-Self Perfect Pack from Gundam Recognuista in G
- Efreet Custom from The Blue Destiny
- Psycommu System Zaku from Mobile Suit Variations
All three of these are currently confirmed to have at least one EX Skill tied to each part, bringing along signature abilities such as the Exam System. The arms of the Psycommu System Zaku will certainly act as a nice substitute for Zeong suit’s arms. Perfect Pack’s backpack is loaded with abilities, containing the offensive “traffic fin” as well as both assault and reflector modes.
As for the squad revealed today, we have the following mobile suits:
- Nightingale from Beltorchika’s Children
- Gundam Avalanche Exia from Gundam 00V
- Atlas Gundam from Gundam Thunderbolt
- Star Burning Gundam from Gundam Build Fighters: GM’s Counterattack
While no EX Skills have been confirmed yet, all four of these suits have very distinct designs, which will open up more possibilities in regards to customization. The Nightingale itself is very unique, even among the hundreds of choices already in the game.
However, the Avalanche Exia is especially important, as screenshots in Famitsu show that it will also have the ability to access the signature Trans-Am System from 00. This means that those looking to incorporate it into their custom build will have another alternative to choose from, which is a good thing.
The magazine also confirmed that the Ptolemaios 2, a ship from Gundam 00, will be appearing as a boss. It will join the ranks of Perfect Grades, Big Zam, Hashmal and an unidentified ship – featured in the PC trailer – as the final game’s larger-than-life bosses. While the game’s playable roster is shaping up nicely, the boss roster is looking pretty small at the moment. With the changes in level flow, compared to Gundam Breaker 3, the boss roster is going to be even more important than usual.
New Gundam Breaker comes out June 22 on PlayStation 4 and PC.
