What’s that? A new Onimusha game is being made? All our dreams have come true? It’s for … oh … it’s a browser-based strategy RPG.
Well now I just kind of want to cut myself.
Onimusha Soul is set in the Sengoku era and will revolve around “social” elements, as players become warlords and battle for control of Japan. It’ll take advantage of the Unity 3D engine to make for more impressive visuals than most games of this nature, and basic play will be free. Microtransactions are obviously expected.
The game is due to hit browsers on June 28 and smartphones in the fall. Sigh.
