The leader of the Mushroom Kingdom leaves the crown behind and takes on a series of new roles in the upcoming title. Many of which you can catch in the new Princess Peach: Showtime! trailer below.

So far, we’ve seen Peach sport several different hats, including a cowgirl getup, detective ‘fit, swordfighter ensemble, and even a patissiere costume complete with Yoshi’s Cookie-inspired designs.

The gist of Princess Peach: Showtime! revolves around Peach and a few of her closest toads putting on a show at the famed Sparkle Theater of the Mushroom Kingdom. However, shockingly to everyone, some bad guys arrive to heckle the performers and put an end to the show.

Gameplay-wise, Peach will tackle a bunch of different roles as she travels from stage to stage in an effort to take down the nefarious Grape and the Sour Bunch. Yes, that is their real name.

To squash Grape and his crew, the Mushroom Kingdom Princess will take on numerous roles, including Swordfighter Peach, Patissiere Peach, Cowgirl Peach, Ninja Peach, Detective Peach, Kung Fu Peach, and likely several more that we haven’t seen yet.

Princess Peach: Showtime! gives us the Princess’ first solo outing since 2005’s Super Princess Peach on the Nintendo DS. It’s one of the better non-Mario Mario games out there. The character is long overdue for a new outing of her own, especially after the character’s strong depiction in The Super Mario Bros. Movie.

Peach will look to make Grape whine and go home when Princess Peach: Showtime! raises the curtains on March 22.
