Those who have been anticipating Ninja Gaiden 3 and just can’t wait for the game might want to sit down for this. Not because I’m about to deliver bad news, but rather, Team Ninja has seen fit to release so much information on their upcoming game that your legs will go numb and you will hit the floor.
Firstly we have full details of the promised Collector’s Edition that will be accompanying the standard version of Ninja Gaiden 3 on its March 20 release date for both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Things that you’d expect in a collector’s edition such as an art book (officially called “Unmask”), soundtrack CD, figurines (showing the “Duel of the Masked”) — they’re all here and waiting for you. Also included in said edition will be the ability to play four different characters in the Dead or Alive 5 demo.
Now those who don’t buy the Collector’s Edition but instead choose to pre-order a standard copy will get some parts of the Dead or Alive 5 demo, but Team Ninja has decided to follow the trend of having different bonuses for different stores. Your choices are either Amazon (a duel between Dead or Alive‘s Ayana and Hayate) or GameStop (a duel between between Ninja Gaiden’s Hayabusa and Dead or Alive’s Hitomi).
We also have a new video showing Ninja Gaiden 3’s multiplayer mode, which will support up to eight players and allow players to customize their own ninjas with new obtainable skills. It’s looking pretty interesting, so long as Team Ninja gets things right. And lastly, we have several screenshots showing Hayabusa covered in blood. Oh that Hayabusa!
