Ubisoft are working on a new AAA MMORPG, the publisher revealed through a tweet looking for new staff. A sleuth on NeoGAF spotted it and now the tubes are abuzz with speculation. Following the link on the tweet takes you to the Ubisoft recruitment page where there are ten positions available. Alongside the jobs for the unnamed MMO project are positions for network programmers, specifically for a Wii U title. Both sets of job listings are for Ubisoft Quebec, which has experience with motion control games. The positions could be related.
Nintendo’s upcoming console is meant to have more robust online features and the publisher has already confirmed Ghost Recon Online for the Wii U, so it’s not outwith the realms of possibility. Of course, it’s just as likely that the two projects are completely separate, but that shouldn’t halt rampant speculation.
