Teacher: Spell “couch”
Little girl: Couch. C-O-W…
Billy Madison: Noooo!
Teacher: No, I’m sorry, that’s not right.
Teacher: Well, Billy, if you spell this correctly you pass second grade.
Billy Madison: Couch. C-O…-R…uh…are you going to the mall today?
Teacher: No, I’m not going to the mall. Keep spelling, mister.
Billy Madison: C-O…U-C-H!
Teacher: Correct!
Billy Madison: I AM THE SMARTEST MAN ALIVE!That’s my favorite scene from Billy Madison, and I think of it every time someone says the word “mall.” I don’t think of Nintendo when someone says “mall,” but it sounds like Nintendo wants me to.
“Like cookies, presents and visits with relatives, the Nintendo mall program has become something of an annual tradition since 2006,” said Nintendo in a press release. Yeah.
They’re doing the mall thing again this year. Maybe you can make it a family tradition. 24 malls will be hit from Nov. 21 to Dec. 18. Mario and Pikachu will be there. Lots of holiday releases will be playable: Skyward Sword, Super Mario 3D Land, Mario Kart 7 and many more.
So, I ask you: Are you going to the mall today? See the full list of malls after the jump.
