You really should try to the Pikmin 3 demo
Tucked away in Nintendo’s recent investor Q&A, senior managing director Shigeru Miyamoto commented on what’s ahead for the “unique joy” that is the Pikmin series.
This week, the company released three animated short films based on the property and a demo for Pikmin 3. Miyamoto describes these campaigns as a way to “lay the groundwork for the next iteration of Pikmin in the future. And needless to say, we want it to be one of the motivations for potential consumers to purchase Wii U. We are making a variety of different efforts.”
After three games, I haven’t even begun to grow tired of the world, characters, and gameplay of Pikmin. Another entry — preferably one with the ambition of Pikmin 2, but I’ll take what I can get — would be a dream come true. Miyamoto clearly loves the series. It’s one of my favorites, too.
