Make games about jumping, possibly get them in an exhibition
This year, England’s National Videogame Arcade in Nottingham is hosting its first major exhibition titled Jump!, dedicated to jumping in games. Aiming to answer questions like “Why do so many games include jumping” and “How high could Mario jump in real life?”, the exhibition is set to feature a huge host of displays dedicated to one of our medium’s core interactions.
To celebrate, the National Videogame Arcade is hosting a game jam starting March 28 called JumpJam, all about making games on the theme of jumping. Running for 29 hours, some of the best entries will be showcased alongside the rest of the Jump! exhibition at Nottingham’s National Videogame Arcade.
