Nvidia consumer sales manager Matt Wright says the company is “proposing small form-factor PCs to be a viable alternative to the next-gen consoles.” “Enthusiast players want the ultimate games system and that is the PC,” he told MCV.

The PC platform is far superior to any console when it comes to gaming,” Wright explained. “[P]lus you get all the extra functionality that a computer brings.”

In other news, Ford thinks cars are much better than buses and bikes.

Still, Wright isn’t wrong. The growing ubiquity of Steam (a rise of one million concurrent users in the last year), combined with Dr. Robotnik’s Mean Steam Machines that are priced a bit more reasonably (equivalent to an Xbox One), could start making inroads for living room PCs.

Still, that’s the same way that an Xbox One is an alternative to a PS4. As long as exclusive games exist, along with fans of those games, console toppling doesn’t seem in the (graphics) cards, Nvidia.
