O-Ogim Shrine is one of the harder to locate shrines in Tears of the Kingdom. That’s because it’s a shrine quest, so you won’t see the familiar glowing green rings from afar. We’ve covered how to complete O-Ogim’s shrine quest, “The Lanayru Road Crystal,” below. But first, let’s take a look at how to find this troublesome spot.
How to find O-ogim Shrine in Tears of the Kingdom
O-ogim shrine is located in the Lanayru Great Spring area of Hyrule. The shrine sits between Mount Lanayru Skyview Tower and Kakariko Village. The former is the closest fast travel point to the shrine for most players. If you’re starting from Mount Lanayru Tower, use it and glide west to the water at the base of Lanayru Heights. Check the screenshot above to see the exact location of the shrine on the map.
How to complete O-ogim Shrine quest “The Lanayru Road Crystal”
When you’re close to the location of O-ogim Shrine, you want to look out for a large archway that the shrine sits beneath. See the picture above to get an idea of what you’re looking for.
When you activate the shrine, The Lanayru Road Crystal quest will begin. Like other shrine quests in Tears of the Kingdom, you simply need to retrieve the shrine crystal and return it to its rightful location.
A green line will lead from the shrine to the crystal, pointing you in the right direction. In this case, you need to cross the water, which has a pretty fast current, and go through the waterfall. It’s difficult to swim all the way across, so go to each rocky outcrop between the shrine and waterfall to shorten the swimming distance. You can see the outcrops in the picture above.
When you get through the waterfall, you will have entered Lanayru Road South Cave, the location of the crystal. Now, the green line passes through a breakable wall. To get through, you’ll either need to use an explosive device or a boulder attached to a melee weapon like Link has in the picture above. To attach a rock to your weapon, use Link’s Fuse ability. Bash or blow your way through, and you’ll be face to face with the crystal.
You can’t swim and carry the crystal at the same time, so you’re going to need to get creative with how you transport it to the shrine. In the room with the crystal are some fans and rockets. We attached one of each to get the crystal most of the way to the shrine. See the picture above for an idea of how to place the fan. The rocket should be positioned in the same way.
When you’ve attached the rocket and fan to the crystal, carry it out of the cave. On the floor by the waterfall is a crevice launchpad that’s perfectly proportioned to fit the crystal. What a coincidence! Place your crystal rocket like in the picture above and strike it with a melee weapon to activate both the rocket and the fan. The crystal will fire off towards the shrine, but it won’t make it the whole way.
We found our crystal floating just beyond the first rock outcrop closest to the waterfall. This is ideal as we can simply pick it up using Ultrahand and carry it the rest of the way. Pick up the crystal, move it to the next outcrop, and then swim over there with Link. Rinse and repeat until you reach the shrine on the opposite side of the water.
At the shrine, place the crystal on the platform, and a cutscene will play as O-ogim Shrine grows to look just like every other shrine in the game. The Lanayru Road Crystal shrine quest is now complete, but you’re not done just yet. You still need to actually complete the shrine.
All you need to do to complete the shrine is enter it and walk to the end to collect the Light of Blessing. However, don’t forget to open the chest on the way there. It contains a Big Battery that will certainly come in handy on your adventures.
Once you have your Light of Blessing, O-ogim Shrine is complete!
