No word exactly when a fix is coming
If you’re a PS4 owning Rock Band 4 player in Europe, there’s a good change you’ve noticed that a chunk of your old library of PS3 Rock Band tracks don’t seem to be playable on Rock Band 4 yet. You’re probably not alone in this, as Harmoix has acknowledged that 431 tracks, all playable in North America, just don’t work properly in Europe.
According to Eric Pope from the studio, they knew this was a problem when the game launched but expected to have it fixed much closer to launch.
We expected we’d be able to say it’s fixed a lot sooner than it has turned out to be. While we’ve made progress on the North American (SCEA) side, we appreciate it may have been frustrating for players to see less movement on the SCEE side and this is due to slightly different technical processes across the stores.
Apparently most of these tracks are going to get fixed with a single update to the game, but there was no solid date given for when this update would come. Apparently Harmonix want the update out in “early December”, but they have not committed to a specific date.
So, are you feeling left out by Rock Band 4?
