We’ve come to know our Pals pretty well over the last month since the game entered early access. We know their names, abilities, and skills by heart, it seems. Now, a recent Twitter post by Pocketpair has got fans of the game humorously questioning whether the same is true about the developers.
Eagle-eyed fans were quick to point out that not only did Pocketpair get the name of their own creation wrong, but they also seemingly used the wrong number from the Paldeck. Pal number 61 is actually Kitsun, not Blazehowl. Or should that be Kingferno?
Palworld fans left confused after Pockpair gets their own Pal names wrong
The team at Pocketpair was quick to notice and apologize for their mistake, but the post is currently still live with the blunder included. Bucky, the Community Manager for Pocketpair, entered the comments to note the mistake, too.
Strangely, the video uploaded to YouTube at the same time also featured the mistake, but this has since been rectified.
The post has prompted an interesting response within the comments, with many players stating that they actually prefer this accidentally mistaken name to the one Blazehowl ended up with. One commenter said, “I think we can all agree that ‘Kingferno’ is a much cooler name”.
Commenters on both Twitter and YouTube were also quick to point out that within the Technology Ladder, Blazehowl Noct’s Saddle is currently named “Dark Kingferno Saddle”, prompting many to speculate why the name was changed for the early access release.
There have been a couple of name changes since Palworld hit early access, with Ice Kingpaca and Ice Reptyro becoming Kingpaca Cryst and Reptyro Cryst, so it’s not outside of the realm of possibility to expect more name changes in the future, although it seems that Blazehowl is here to stay, even if some players prefer the alternative.
