Similar to Pokemon, Palworld features a wide variety of Elements for each Pal. Each Element has a strength and weakness towards another Element type, which can create some interesting strategizing in combat. Also, each Element typically has its own uses as well. For example, Water-based Pals can usually water your crops, whereas Fire-based Pals can cook your food. Here is the complete Palworld Element Chart along with all the Pal types currently in the game.
Palworld Element Chart
As you can see, each Element has a strength and weakness. The base five Elements, Ground, Electric, Water, Fire, and Grass, are all in a cycle with each other. The special Element types, Ice, Dragon, Dark, and Neutral have a more direct strength and weakness.
Breaking down the chart, here are all the Pal Element types and their strengths and weaknesses:
Base Element Types
- Ground: Weakness: Grass | Strength: Electric
- Electric: Weakness: Ground | Strength: Water
- Water: Weakness: Electric | Strength: Fire
- Fire: Weakness: Water | Strength: Grass
- Grass: Weakness: Fire | Strength: Ground
Special Element Types
- Ice: Weakness: Fire | Strength: Dragon
- Dragon: Weakness: Ice | Strength: Dark
- Dark: Weakness: Dragon | Strength: Neutral
- Neutral: Weakness: Dark | Strength: None
So by this metric, let’s look at Water for example. A weakness to Electric means if you are using a Water Pal in combat, an Electric Pal enemy will deal bonus damage to your Water Pal. On the flip side, you will deal bonus damage with your Water Pal when attacking a Fire Pal enemy.
Even though Neutral doesn’t have a Strength, it’s sort of a jack-of-all-trades. Sure, it may be weak to Dark. However, with a Neutral Pal you don’t have to worry about being ineffective at dealing damage against any specific Element type and enemy Pal may have.
With this Palworld Element Chart you can easily figure out what sort of Pals you should bring when fighting a specific enemy based on its Element type.
