So you’ve reached level 50 and unlocked every fast travel point within Palworld, but there are still things on your Technology Ladder left locked. So how do you get more Technology Points? Well, the simple answer to that is Technology Manuals.
There are two types of Technology Manual within Palworld Currently:
- High-Grade Technology Manual
- Innovative Technology Manual
While the High-Grade version will give you one Technology Point when used, the Innovative version will provide you with two Technology Points.
How to get High-Grade Technical Manuals
There are two ways to get your hands on these precious tomes.
The first of these is simple, though far from guaranteed: find yourself some Hoocrates, Katress or Wixen and defeat them by either capturing or killing them. The issue with this method is the drop rate. High-Grade Technical Manuals have a horrifying 1% chance of dropping from these Pals, so if you’re going to go for this method, you should pray to RNGesus before you begin.
The other method is slightly more complicated, but it carries a much higher chance of providing the goods; head into some dungeons, work your way through and once you’ve defeated the boss Pal at the end, open the chests before you leave. Again, you’re not guaranteed to be given a Technical Manual, but you’re much more likely to get one this way.
How to get Innovative Technical Manuals
Innovative Technical Manuals are, frankly, like gold dust in Palworld. They seem infinitely harder to get your hands on, and that makes sense because getting two Technical Points for free shouldn’t be easy, right?
Again, there are some Pals who drop them, but they’re much higher level and even if you do manage to defeat them, there’s no guarantee that you’ll get a Manual anyway. The three Pals who drop the Innovative Manual are Anubis, Lyleen and Lyleen Noct. Are you seeing the issue here?
Anubis and Lyleen Noct only appear in the wild as Alpha Pals and while you could repeatedly fight them in an attempt to get Innovative Technical Manuals, your best bet to try your luck with this method is to breed them before butchering them. Which, considering the fact that they’re two of the best base Pals in the game, seems like a waste.
However, there is another method. Like High-Grade Technical Manuals before them, Innovative Technical Manuals can also be found in treasure chests throughout Palpagos but have a significantly higher drop rate from Dungeon chests.
If you want to find Innovative Technical Manuals, your best bet is to head into Dungeons which are at least level 25 – they’re usually the ones found outside of the forest biome.
