Along with the Paldeck reveal of Katress Ignis today, Palworld has shared another tidbit of information regarding some upcoming content in the Sakurajima update. More information was given on the new faction, which was briefly mentioned in the update trailer.
The new faction will be headed by Saya, along with her presumably Dark-type Pal, Selyne, as seen in a post on the Palworld Twitter/X.
Bear in mind that Selyne being a Dark-type is entirely conjecture on my part, but based on the moon on her head, along with what we already know to be a crescent moon on which Saya sits, I’m willing to hedge my bets that this Pal will be another addition to the Dark repertoire of Palworld.
The backdrop of what I’m assuming is the new tower also lends weight to this theory. It is adorned with a galaxy-like appearance, filled with stars and mist.
We were given no further information about where this faction will be located, though it’s likely to be on the new island, which was teased during the reveal of the Sakurajima update during Summer Game Fest 2024. Both Saya and Selyne were shown in the update trailer, though their names are new information as of today.
The reveal has left fans excited for what’s to come, although many are lamenting the fact that we are currently unable to dress our characters up in anything other than craftable gear. With Saya wearing yet another costume that players can only dream of wearing, many players hope that costumes will soon arrive within Palworld.
Others were upset that the boss catching glitch has been addressed, meaning that Saya and Selyne will likely not be joining their party any time soon, unlike the rest of the Tower Boss Duos.
