I love a good game tattoo (and by good, I do not mean this), but for me ink has to be subtle and clean or it just doesn’t appeal to me. Masatomo Ueda’s Patapon tattoo fits the bill on both counts, showing a little army of Hatipon, Yaripon, and Yumipon sieging an attack on this chest. You can read a bit more about it on his blog if you like.
I’ve honestly never considered a gaming tattoo, despite the fact that gaming has been a part of my life for over twenty years. I suppose I am trying to avoid the inevitable moment where you look in the mirror and age 40 and say “Why did I do that?” On the other hand, I suspect I’ll be pulling out the NES periodically for the rest of my life … so maybe I shouldn’t totally toss the idea of a tattoo just yet.
