On the last day of PAX, I had the lovely opportunity to play a few Wii games with my dear friend Jim Sterling. First up we have Donkey Kong Country Returns, and in an hour, you’ll see Kirby’s Epic Yarn.
It’s amazing to think that not that long ago, Jim had little interest in the Wii. Now he’s loving the thing. Just goes to show what 2010 has done for the little white Gamecube powerhouse.
Again, this was the last day of PAX. Our ability to be insightful was severely diminished by lack of sleep and end-of-show anxiety. Still, I think we make some pretty strong insights about the depth of Donkey Kong’s longing for a meaningful psychological/sexual/emotional relationship.
No we don’t.

"The beach, the trees, even the clouds in the sky... everything is build from little tiny pieces of stuff. Just like in a Gameboy game... a nice tight little world... and all its inhabitants... made out of little building blocks... Why can't these little pixels be the building blocks for love..? For loss... for understanding"- James Kochalka, Reinventing Everything part 1
