Masks for days
Payday 2 developer Overkill has had long-standing plans to take the game’s bank-robbing ways to current-gen consoles. This new trailer serves as confirmation that those ambitions are finally coming to fruition sometime in June.
Actually, Overkill detailed what it’s calling Payday 2: Crimewave Edition a bit more than a month ago. As to be expected, it’s benefiting from all the technological enhancements that come with upgrading from legacy to current-gen consoles: improved framerate, higher resolution, better textures, and so on. But, it’s also packed with all of the post-release content for Payday 2, meaning that there are plenty of masks to buy with all of that hard-stolen cash.
However, the transition will signal the end of support on PS3 and Xbox 360. Additionally, saves won’t transfer over, so anyone who upgrades will have to start their heisting career as a greenhorn. Everyone deserves a second chance, but let’s face it: you’re just going to fall back into a lifestyle of robbing banks and killing cops.
