Persona 4 was so friendly, love-sim-y and kind of gay in places, so this newly revealed box art for Persona 4 Arena throws me off a bit. I mean, I like it well enough. I’m totally digging the creeper eye that Teddy is giving the two in the foreground. It’s just that my dream cover would have been less confrontational. It would have had the gang eating eating ramen and high five-ing each other at the mall food court or something.
In the end, the box art doesn’t matter. This game is beautiful and I’m getting it in whatever way Atlus decides to ship it. You’ll find images of the full box art in our gallery.

Persona 4 Arena comes out on August 7 for Xbox 360 and PS3. You’ll want to get your pre-order in to nab the bonus Arranged Soundtrack CD. Stay tuned as Atlus today teased some surprises for the game in the coming weeks.
