Or Final Fantasy Warriors?
A recent Famitsu poll asked fans what Koei Tecmo Warriors (or Musou) crossover they’d most want to see and Gematsu has the Sokuho@Hokanko translation of the results, as well as responses by those series’ respective creators on the idea of such a crossover.
Final Fantasy (#5) producer Yoshinori Kitase offered, “The Forgotten Capital quest could be hot,” while Tales of (#6) response was a curt, “Thank you very much, but there aren’t any plans.“
Rounding out the bottom of the results at #9 and #10, respectively, Shin Megami Tensei producer Kazuyuki Yamai gave the boldest, “Get in touch with us anytime,” as Persona PR defaulted back to a more daydreamy, “It’d be interesting if we could make it one day.” Not that Persona needs another spin off. Is it weird that Final Fantasy isn’t the headline here? It’s dropped so much cache recently. Plus Kitase’s answer seemed more like a, “ah, sure, that’d be neat” to be nice, but what do I know about reading tone in translated Japanese.
Fans voted on anime crossovers, too, with Pretty Cure, Fairy Tail, Tokyo Ghoul, Kingdom, Gin Tama taking home spots.
