Okay, so this is just awesome. Polygamia sent us this tip yesterday for a video called YouTube Street Fighter. As soon as it loaded up, I groaned, thinking it was another stop-motion animation video. But this is far from that, folks.
You can actually control what’s going on in this faux-game. The video above is one of many you’ll be watching as you “play” YouTube Street Fighter. You play as Guile and first must select whom you fight against between E. Honda, Zangief or Dhalsim. Once you pick your fighter, a new window will pop up with Guile playing whoever you selected.
With the new window, four options appear: A, B, X, and Y. You have to select one of those buttons in order to fight your opponent. When you pick a button, a new window will pop up showing you the move you just used. If you wait too long, your opponent will strike at you and you can’t press any of the buttons until the move is over.
There are a ton of possible combinations here as there are over 100 YouTube videos just for this game. I have to wonder how long it must have taken to get all the filming done and how long it took to set up all the YouTube clips. YouTuber PatrickBoivin did a very impressive job here. Give it a shot and let us know what you think of it!
