To celebrate what CCP Games calls the “Precursor” phase for Dust 514, the developers have announced that PlayStation Plus subscribers can get in on the closed beta for Dust 514 from August 21 through September 4. Joining Mercenary Pack purchasers and all-access pass holders, the PS3 Beta event will coincide with the beginning of integration with EVE Online, Orbital Strike framework, instant battle matchmaking, new environments, keyboard and mouse support, and much more.
If you don’t already own the Mercenary Pack, it will be half off for PlayStation Plus subscribers at $10 during the event. The Mercenary Pack gives you plenty of in-game content, but most importantly includes and all-access pass that lets you play the beta every weekend up until Dust 514‘s release.
With all those free games and exclusive access to betas, PlayStation Plus is really paying for itself these days. I have more free things from PS+ than I know what to do with.
