Some big deals on some of the year’s bigger hits
Sony is hosting its PlayStation Summer Sale, discounting a bunch of games on the PlayStation Store. And there are a lot of games going on sale.
Listing them out might take a bit, though you can scroll through the full list on the PlayStation Blog or search through the deals section on the PlayStation Store. There are a few deals worth highlighting though, especially if you’re looking to play catch-up on some of the big games of the last couple years.
For PlayStation 5 owners, this sale seems like a good way to stock up on new games for your shiny new console. Both Returnal and Demon’s Souls are marked down 29%, so those fancy graphics can fit into a slimmer budget. A few other cross-gen PS5 games are on sale, including 30% off Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, 25% off the co-op puzzler It Takes Two, and a surprising 50% off Hitman 3‘s Standard Edition.
There are some discounts on other major games, like Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Outriders, and Marvel’s Avengers, but I also want to highlight one game in particular. Last year’s 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim is a whopping 55% off, bringing the price on the U.S. PlayStation Store down to $26.99. It’s a really rad game from Vanillaware, and that’s an excellent price point to pick it up at.
Either way, this year’s PlayStation Summer Sale seems like a good way to stock up on the big hits from the last year or so, before another season of big game releases gets underway. The sale starts today, July 21, and runs through Wednesday, Aug. 18. PlayStation also notes that some additional games will be joining the promotion two weeks from now, on Aug. 4, so it’s worth checking back in then to see if any more big games go on sale.
