The revamped Plus device and Pokemon Sleep go hand in hand
I’m not the only one who’s bummed Nintendo squashed its sleep-tracking device. The Pokémon Company is stepping up with a quality-of-life initiative of its own: Pokémon Sleep. The mobile app hopes to “turn sleeping into entertainment” and it’ll work with Nintendo’s new Pokémon Go Plus + device.
We’re pleased to announce the development of Pokémon Sleep, a new app from @Pokemon_cojp that tracks a user’s time sleeping and brings a gameplay experience unlike any other!
Several Snorlax were consulted on this, in case you were wondering. #PokemonSleep is coming in 2020. pic.twitter.com/nJ7mJY09Dl

Pokémon Go Plus + (that’s the actual stylized-as-intended name) “will use an embedded accelerometer to track a user’s time sleeping and send this information to their smartphone via Bluetooth,” according to The Pokémon Company. “This new device also has the same functions as the original Pokémon Go Plus, so Trainers can use it with Pokémon Go during the day and with Pokémon Sleep at night.”
Pokémon Sleep, a very real and not at all made-up mobile app, launches in 2020. Sleep tight!

In the meantime, you can go hunt for a snoozing Snorlax inside Pokémon Go as of this announcement. The event runs until June 3, 2019 at 1:00pm Pacific and these sleeping Snorlax know the move Yawn.
